Word 1: Nature
My first word for the project is "Nature". I interpret nature as anything that is naturally occurring and uninfluenced by humans. A photographer who takes images of nature similar to what I will photograph is Eliot Porter. He was heavily inspired by Ansel Adams, which got him to think about working with a large-format camera, committing to the idea in 1939 after meeting Alfred Stieglitz and deciding to dedicate his career to photography. His work on the natural world is inspired by Henry David Thoreau, an American poet and practical philosopher, where he wanted to recreate the passages that Thoreau wrote using a visual medium.

Why are they the 'best'?
Why are they the 'best'?
These are the best images due to being the clearest and most varied
And here are my best edits:
WWW: The images that are clear make good use of perspective and framing to make them seem closer/further than they really are.
EBI: I could try to take some more photos, and make them clearer.

Word 2: Shadows
My second word is "Shadows". I interpret this as a silhouette of an object that contrasts the light of the area. A photographer who takes similar images to the ones I plan to take is Andre Kertesz. He was born in Hungary and is known for the pictures he takes of everyday life. He was extremely creative and inventive for the 20th century and had set the standard that most other photographers who used handheld cameras had to meet. He saw action as he served in the Austro-Hungarian army and continued to take pictures on the Eastern Front. This is not really relevant- it doesn't help us to understand the work. What about his involvement with the Modernist movement?

WWW: I feel like these images are the most interesting in the set, as well as the most well made composition-wise.
EBI: Try to make them a bit less blurry and study the lightbox more to see if I can change the distortion around the edges.
I'm struggling to see the link between these and Kertesz. Would it be better to split this set and have the 'scene' images as a second devleopment?
